Doulton Water filters use ceramic candles which are made of naturally occurring mineral clays. Ceramic water filters work by allowing water to flow through the millions of tiny pores on the ceramic candle shell. These pores which are about 0.5 micron in size, trap impurities like sediment, pathogens and rust particles as the water passes through them. Our water filtration systems do not use a pump and operate purely on the water pressure in your pipeline and hence does not require electricity for use. Doulton filters do not waste water.

RO systems use a semi-permeable membrane which allows only water molecules to pass through. RO systems require electricity to drive the pump to push the water through. In the process, RO systems waste about 3 litres of water to purify 1 litre of water.

UV systems purify water by using ultraviolet rays to kill microorganisms present in the water by preventing their reproduction by disrupting their DNA.
